Dr. Jaime Breziner

DDS

After graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, Jaime continued his education at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, becoming a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1991. His specialty is cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. He stays on the cutting edge of cosmetic dental procedures, including porcelain veneers, whitening and invisible braces (Invisalign).

Dr. Breziner began his practice in San Diego, California. From 1994 to 1996, he served as trustee of California for the Hispanic Dental Association, a national organization of dental professionals dedicated to promoting and improving the oral health of the Hispanic community.

Dr. Breziner is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society and Hispanic Dental Association.

Dr. David Vasquez

DDS

Dr. Vasquez earned his Undergrad at UCLA and graduated from the University of Southern California’s dental school in 2001.

Dr. Vasquez is committed to quality dentistry and embraces it with exceptional technique and a distinct priority on patient comfort.

In his free time, Dr. Vasquez is an adventure seeker, enjoying biking, running half marathons and mud runs, and traveling.

Dr. Yael Kandinov

DDS

Dr. Yael Kandinov earned her degree at the University of California, Los Angeles and became a Doctor of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. Her focus is on restorative and aesthetic dentistry. She completed the Implant Maxicourse at Loma Linda University on scholarship and has attained certification in Invisalign.

Dr. Kandinov’s general dentistry practice prioritizes each patient’s individual needs in order to help them achieve a healthy mouth and their dream smile. She takes great pride in giving her patients detailed and gentle care.

Prior to joining La Jolla Family Smile Design, Dr. Kandinov honed her skills by working in corporate dentistry as well as volunteering at dental clinics in underserved communities in Southern California and Mexico. She is a member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association.

While not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid runner and enjoys cooking and trying new food. Dr. Kandinov is also a fluent Spanish speaker and is working on her Russian!

Dr. Samantha Abrahams

DMD

Dr. Abrahams was born and raised in San Jose, CA. She worked as a dental assistant for numerous offices in the Bay Area, where she developed a profound passion for dentistry. She attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After dental school, Dr. Abrahams completed her residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at The University of the Pacific.

Dr. Abrahams' treatment goals are to create custom plans for each patient's oral health, reduce their risk of cavities, and ensure that all her dental procedures are painless.

Dr. Abrahams is passionate about cosmetic dentistry, with a particular love for cosmetic bonding. She enjoys this procedure because it allows her to achieve a noticeable improvement in her patients' smiles in just one visit.

Her passion for education has led her to become a member of various esteemed organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Clear Aligners, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Abrahams enjoys trying out Pinterest projects, hiking, and going to the beach!

Dr. Yael Breziner

DDS, MS

A San Diego native, Dr. Yael Breziner is a periodontist who combines advanced clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. She earned her Bachelor of Science from UCLA and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from USC, where she graduated with top honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.

She went on to complete specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, also receiving a Master of Science in Oral Biology. During her residency, she served as Chief Resident, leading clinical teams and helping integrate new technologies into patient care.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Breziner is dedicated to serving a diverse community, making sure every patient feels heard, respected, and confident in their treatment. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys Pilates, reading thrillers, beach walks with her husband and their newborn!
